As we all know these are some extremely difficult times that we are experiencing. We are being attacked on every level. The gains that our ancestors fought so feverishly for are being eroded. We are being pushed to the so-called fourth minority, and that we cannot allow. We built this country! We gave this country the rich culture that all have benefited from. We provided slave labor for 240 years under the system of chattel slavery, 90 years of Reconstruction and another 40 years of Jim Crow until today. We have open doors for every immigrant, legal or illegal, yet none of these groups have had the decency to say thank you.

It is a fact that immigration is the biggest threat to Black Americans, Foundational Black Americans or descendants of enslaved Africans. The policies of the democratic party are contributing to the demise of our educational opportunities, economic equity, erosion of political power, and justice for us as Black Chicagoans.
